Everything you never wanted to know about me

I got this idea from my new friend Jenni Elyse. I tried to make them things that Shannon and Katie might not already know (at least not most of them.) Which was pretty hard. Many of them contradict the one right before them. Many of them a random associations from the one above it.


1. I have two cats Gods, Agamemnon and Fern. Agamemnon is named after the king in the Illiad. Fern was a sort of nickname of mine in high school.



2. I have never had a cavity
3. I’m divorced, but I still wear my wedding ring because it’s just so pretty
4. I sleep with my laptop in the bed next to me.
5. I used to sleep with scissors
6. I cannot sleep unless an Audiobook is playing
7. My favorite scene in a book is Miles Vorkosigan’s dinner party in A Civil Campaign
8. I divorced my husband because of another Miles book. Well and a children’s book about pigs in a tree.
9. The first computer program I ever wrote was a prime number generator
10. When I am stressed I count the powers of two 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64,128, 256, 512, 1024. This FREAKED out a nurse in the hospital last month.
11. I like things that smell like lavendar, or patcholi
12. I grow roses to remember my grandfather who died a year and a half ago

14. I love henna tattoos


15. I don’t have a real tattoo because I’m a big sissy
16. I never have a dream about my best friend where she is nice to me
17. when I was little, I wanted to be a synchronized swimmer
18. I have had every hair color but black

19. I wish I had the guts to die my hair pink
20. I worship IKEA and wish I could live there
21. Where the heart is where Natlie Portman lived in a Walmart is my guilty pleasure movie
22. I also worship all things Apple and wouldn’t mind living there either
23. I bought my first two Apple products solely on the fact that they were little and cute.
24. Another guilty pleasure is the TV show Weeds. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard at any other TV show.
25. I think Lady in Red is the sexiest song on the planet
26. I have a list of 100 things I want to do before I die. It has 48 things on it
27. I do not like Edward Cullen
28. I have zero interest in polishing rocks
29. I want to take a meditation class
30. I want to take an ethnic cooking class
31. I wish I could live in Germany just so I could drive really really really fast
32. .I want a daughter named Ananda Madeline, but I think I would just get mad at everyone for calling her Amanda all the time.
33. The idea of being a stay at home mom doesn’t appeal to me at all
34. I scrapbook digitally, I pretend this is more dignified than what those Mormon SAHMs do
35. I hate to wash dishes
36. The combination of fuchsia and lime green just makes me feel happy.
37. But I hate the color pink
38. I’m a walking contradiction
39. I make up dumb names for myself on IM all the time. Most are silly inside jokes with Shannon.
40. Shannon and I pretend homeland security has their eye on us
41. I only watched The West Wing for the kissing
42. I talk to my mother, my grandmother, Shannon and Katie every single day.

43. I love talking to Katie every night. She makes me laugh and I missed laughing
44. If he was my age and straight I would marry Ed tomorrow. I feel perfectly content when I am with him
45. I love love love love buying and owning shoes, but I almost never wear them

46. My dad is my hero.

57. I’m going to school to be a teacher, but more and more I don’t think I approve of our school system
58. I have a thing for missionaries, even though they are now so much younger than me that it’s a little creepy.
